2015 is a year that I looked forward to with hopes, wishes and prayers. I expected a lot of positive happenings and milestone achievements this year in our life. When I say ‘our’, I mean my other half who I would be referring to as Senor in this blog. We did achieve some of the milestones and wishes while we failed to get other things. For us, 2015 was a mix of joy and misery. Some of the things I am grateful to 2015 are,
- I managed to get a driving license here in USA at the beginning of the year. I started to drive alone without Senor by my side and that too with more confidence and fearlessness.
- I tried baking the first time in my life. My first attempt itself was successful where I baked an egg less chocolate cake.
- We traveled to Alaska. I never in my wildest dreams imagined I would be able to visit a place like Alaska. If you want to be close to true nature, do visit Alaska.
- Senor was looking to change his job. He did get an offer to his liking.
- This year, I added lots of new clothes to my wardrobe. I started following some fashion blogs and picked some really good boots, shoes, cardigans, tops and other goodies.
- Surprisingly, I joined a certification course at the local university here. So far, I am enjoying the classes and it is adding value to my resume.
- I read some really good books this year. I was lucky enough to get some of these books within a few days of their release; thanks to the advance reserving facility available in the local library here.
- This was my second year in the US. I adjusted better and felt more at home this year.
- Quite unexpectedly, I started this blog towards the end of the year. I am happy that I finally decided to become active in the blogging world again.
Above all, I am really grateful to God that I am blessed with Senor by my side. He is my friend, philosopher, guide, support system and partner in crime. Writing about him will take another blog post and I can never say enough.
I look forward to 2016 with lots of hope and prayers. Senor and I have our personal goals as well as many combined goals for 2016. I wish you all a blessed 2016 and let this year make all your dreams come true.
