Bubyeee 2015

2015 is a year that I looked forward to with hopes, wishes and prayers. I expected a lot of positive happenings and milestone achievements this year in our life. When I say ‘our’, I mean my other half who I would be referring to as Senor in this blog. We did achieve some of the milestones and wishes while we failed to get other things. For us, 2015 was a mix of joy and misery. Some of the things I am grateful to 2015 are,

  1. I managed to get a driving license here in USA at the beginning of the year. I started to drive alone without Senor by my side and that too with more confidence and fearlessness.
  2. I tried baking the first time in my life. My first attempt itself was successful where I baked an egg less chocolate cake.
  3. We traveled to Alaska. I never in my wildest dreams imagined I would be able to visit a place like Alaska. If you want to be close to true nature, do visit Alaska.
  4. Senor was looking to change his job. He did get an offer to his liking.
  5. This year, I added lots of new clothes to my wardrobe. I started following some fashion blogs and picked some really good boots, shoes, cardigans, tops and other goodies.
  6. Surprisingly, I joined a certification course at the local university here. So far, I am enjoying the classes and it is adding value to my resume.
  7. I read some really good books this year. I was lucky enough to get some of these books within a few days of their release; thanks to the advance reserving facility available in the local library here.
  8. This was my second year in the US. I adjusted better and felt more at home this year.
  9. Quite unexpectedly, I started this blog towards the end of the year. I am happy that I finally decided to become active in the blogging world again.

Above all, I am really grateful to God that I am blessed with Senor by my side. He is my friend, philosopher, guide, support system and partner in crime. Writing about him will take another blog post and I can never say enough.

I look forward to 2016 with lots of hope and prayers. Senor and I have our personal goals as well as many combined goals for 2016. I wish you all a blessed 2016 and let this year make all your dreams come true.

Back with a Change

I used to blog till 2 years back. During the past two years, lots of major changes happened in my life that I stopped blogging altogether due to various reasons incorporated by the said changes. Also, I had lost the motivation to write. Recently, the writing bug started biting me again and again that I am no longer able to ignore it. Some of my previous blog readers knew me personally and that blocked me from writing about many things that I have ever wanted to write. I have the choice to continue my same old blog but this time, I want to experience the joy of anonymity, write about anything under the sun, ‘bitch’ about anyone and write certain snippets about my personal life without fear of hurting anybody’s sentiments. I have other reasons to start this blog which I would reveal as I continue this journey. Today, I give birth to this blog and create my alter ego, Senora.
